Are you a strategic, commercially driven retail leader with a passion for product, customers, and innovation?

CPL Group is looking for an exceptional Head of Buying to lead our Buying, Category Management, and Merchandising function across our growing retail network.

As the Head of Buying, you will shape and drive the product strategy that powers PNG’s largest retail and pharmacy network.

You will lead a high‑performing team overseeing product selection, supplier partnerships, pricing strategy, merchandising standards, and commercial performance across all categories.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can blend strategy with execution — delivering the right product, at the right price, in the right place, at the right time.

A strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, exceptional leadership qualities, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Someone who sees opportunities, understands customers, and knows how to translate insight into profitable action.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

✔ 10+ years’ experience in Buying, Category Management, or Merchandising ✔ At least 5 years in a senior leadership role ✔ Experience in retail, pharmacy, FMCG, wholesale, or distribution ✔ Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills ✔ Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams ✔ Customer‑focused mindset and strong market awareness
