The Business Development Manager – POCT will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and developing strong relationships with healthcare providers and laboratories. The ideal candidate should possess laboratory experience or prior experience in selling medical/diagnostic instruments, particularly POCT devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to promote POCT medical instruments.
- Identify and acquire new clients including hospitals, diagnostic centers, laboratories, and clinics.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with healthcare professionals.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender documentation.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Coordinate with technical and service teams to ensure smooth installation and after-sales support.
- Participate in medical exhibitions, conferences, and promotional events.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
- Prior laboratory experience OR experience in selling medical/diagnostic instruments (POCT experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of diagnostic laboratory workflows and clinical applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
- Willingness to travel extensively.
