One of our reputed clients in Oman is seeking experienced Supervisors – Machine Shop for their Mechanical & Electrical Department, to oversee machining, fabrication, and workshop operations, ensuring safe and efficient production while maintaining high-quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise all machine shop activities including turning, milling, grinding, and fabrication operations.
• Allocate tasks to machinists, technicians, and workshop staff, ensuring work is carried out according to technical drawings and operational procedures.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Inspect machines, tools, and fabricated components to ensure proper functioning and adherence to tolerances.
• Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and storage of machine shop equipment, tools, and materials.
• Troubleshoot machining or equipment issues and coordinate timely repairs.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce workshop safety standards.
• Maintain daily work logs, inspection records, and production reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of machining tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supervising machine shop or workshop operations in industrial or mechanical environments.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, machine tools, fabrication techniques, and industrial safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining schematics.
• Excellent team leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a demanding workshop environment.
