Job Role:
As our client expands its footprint in the Indonesian market, the complexity of architectural steel logistics, ranging from international sea freight to inter-island distribution, requires a dedicated expert on the ground. This position is critical for navigating the unique Indonesian customs landscape and ensuring that high-value construction components move seamlessly from the manufacturing line to the project site, supporting Indonesia's rapid infrastructure development.
The Logistics & Customs Clearance Specialist is the "Engine of Compliance" for the Indonesian operations. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of import-export goods, from producing rigorous customs declaration data to coordinating complex inter-island logistics. You will be the primary point of contact for local customs brokers and authorities, ensuring that the international supply chain remains efficient, compliant, and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customs Architecture: Oversee all import/export clearance processes, including data audit, docking with local brokers, and handling abnormal goods, taxes, and inspections to ensure zero delays.
- Local Logistics Development: Identify and maintain relationships with local Indonesian logistics providers for inter-island shipping, inland water, and land transportation to secure stable and competitive shipping space.
- End-to-End Tracking: Coordinate the entire lifecycle of goods—booking, loading, transportation, and receipt—while managing issues like delays, damage, or loss.
- Compliance Leadership: Stay current on Indonesian customs policies (Lartas, Tariffs, and Certifications) to reduce logistics risks and ensure import compliance.
- Financial Reconciliation: Complete logistics expense settlement, data statistics, and daily reporting to synchronize information with internal business departments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Experience: 5+ years in supply chain roles, including at least 2 years in Indonesian logistics or customs clearance.
- End-to-End Customs & Transportation: Proven ability to independently manage the entire customs clearance process, including sea and land transportation.
- Local Network: Established relationships with Indonesian logistics providers, customs brokers, and local transportation partners across islands.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and freight forwarding software.
- Language: Professional fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin for cross-border coordination.
