One of our reputed international clients in Colombo is seeking a skilled L2 Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing technical operations team. The role focuses on managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise infrastructure systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across environments.

The ideal candidate should be a technically strong infrastructure professional who can handle L2 support tasks, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable IT operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide L2 support for infrastructure-related incidents, service requests, and escalations.
• Monitor and maintain servers, networks, and cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and networking.
• Manage and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with L1 and L3 teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call support and handle critical incidents when required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3–6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing).
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
