In response to the growing influx of Chinese investments and companies entering Indonesia, it is strategically expanding its sales team to bridge communication gaps with Chinese expatriates and decision-makers, while providing direct, high-level consultancy and partnership services.

Job Role:

The Sales & Account Officer is responsible for spearheading business growth by targeting Chinese-invested companies operating in Indonesia. You will act as the primary point of contact for Chinese expatriate clients, providing them with technical service solutions that ensure their operations comply with Indonesian regulations. While you will cover a wide geographical area, your primary focus will be on the Oil & Gas and Mining industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Canvassing: Proactively identify and approach new Chinese clients (canvassing) within the Oil & Gas and Mining sectors across Indonesia.
  • Account Management: Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing Chinese stakeholders and expatriate managers.
  • Direct Technical Communication: Use fluent Mandarin to explain complex technical services, regulations, and certification processes to Chinese clients.
  • Market Analysis: Utilize analytical skills to identify market trends and competitor movements within the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry.
  • Travel & Site Visits: Engage in frequent travel to various mining and project sites throughout Indonesia to conduct client meetings and presentations.
  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum D3 or Bachelor’s Degree in any major (e.g., Engineering, Business, Marketing)
  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales with Account Management responsibilities within technical consultancy sectors
  • Experience working in or with Oil & Gas, Mining, or Machinery companies, with solid industry knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to identify and penetrate new market segments, especially within the Chinese industrial community
  • Elite relationship-building skills to maintain long-term partnerships with high-level stakeholders
  • Analytical thinking to utilize market data, identify trends, and adapt sales strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical services to clients
  • Fluent in Mandarin (oral and written) and business-level English proficiency
  • Resilient, adaptable, with high integrity, endurance for frequent travel, and mobility for high travel demands
