The firm specializes in trading high-quality resin (plastic raw materials) for various manufacturing sectors.

Currently, 80–90% of its client portfolio consists of Japanese companies, including major automotive manufacturers. As part of its long-term growth strategy, the company is now shifting focus toward expanding into the rapidly growing market of Chinese companies operating in Indonesia, aiming to become the preferred supplier for the wave of Chinese manufacturers establishing production bases in Southeast Asia.

Job Role:

The company is seeking a marketing professional with strong Chinese (Mandarin) language skills to serve as the primary bridge between its technical solutions and the emerging Chinese client base. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for 0-to-1 market penetration, transforming the business from a “Japanese-focused” trader into a dominant supplier for Chinese manufacturing giants.

The Marketing Executive will operate within the Plastics Division, focusing on the technical sale and distribution of high-performance materials. The role involves selling to B2B corporate clients, specifically large-scale Chinese manufacturing plants located in Indonesia’s major industrial zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chinese Market Expansion: Target and acquire new clients from Chinese companies operating within Indonesian territories.
• Client Management: Manage all aspects of the relationship with Chinese clients, from initial approach to after-sales service.
• Market Analysis: Monitor growth trends in the plastic industry among Chinese investors to adjust company marketing strategies.
• Cross-Cultural Coordination: Act as the main liaison between Chinese clients and Japanese management to ensure technical and commercial requirements are met.
• Sales Administration: Manage quotations, contract negotiations, and the coordination of resin raw material deliveries.

Candidate Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in Sales & Marketing or Business Development in manufacturing and trading companies, with experience selling B2B products to Chinese enterprises or similar products
• Proficient in B2B sales cycle, including lead generation, technical presentations, and complex commercial negotiations with corporate procurement
• Knowledge of supply chain, international trading operations, import/export procedures, and logistics of raw material distribution
• Basic technical understanding of resin and plastic raw materials (e.g., PP, PE, PA, POM) and their applications in automotive or electronics manufacturing
• Skilled in using ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for sales analysis, reporting, and database management
• Business-level Mandarin fluency (oral and written, HSK 4–5) and business-level English proficiency
• Proactive “hunter” mindset with resilience and drive for 0-to-1 market penetration
• Strong character, confidence, and professional maturity to represent the company independently at high-level meetings with Chinese expatriate decision-makers
• Strategic and analytical thinking to monitor market trends and provide data-driven insights
• High integrity and ethical standards consistent with long-standing Japanese organizational values
• Mobility for frequent customer visits with own car and driver’s license
