Company Overview

We operate a yellowtail (hamachi) aquaculture business on a remote island called Hiburi Island, located off the coast of Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture. Uwajima is one of Japan’s leading aquaculture regions, and the Uwa Sea—known for its strong water circulation—provides an ideal environment for fish farming.

• Learn aquaculture from beginner to advanced You will be trained on-site in all aspects of fish farming, from feeding and daily health monitoring to harvesting. Even without prior experience, you can steadily acquire aquaculture skills.
• Company support for living expenses To help you focus on work and life on a remote island, the company covers rent, utilities (water, gas, electricity), and lunch on working days.

Location

Hiburi Island is located about 40 minutes by ferry from the main port of Uwajima City.

There are no large supermarkets or entertainment facilities on the island. Daily necessities must be purchased either in the city on days off or through online shopping (a small convenience store is available).

While it lacks urban convenience, the location offers several advantages:

Job Description:

• Go out to sea by boat for fish farming activities
• Feed the fish in the offshore net pens
• Routinely check the condition and health of the fish
• Perform the harvesting process (prepare the fish for shipment)
• Maintain and repair nets, both at sea and on land Perform various tasks related to fish farming
