🔎 AVAILABLE POSITION - DENTIST

The Dentist is responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and comprehensive oral health care services to patients of CP Medical Clinics. The role focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental conditions while ensuring an excellent patient experience, adherence to professional standards, and compliance with clinical policies. This essential role involves performing general dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, and minor oral surgery while maintaining accurate, confidential patient records. The Dentist also promotes oral health awareness within the community, collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and consistently strives to enhance service quality through continuous professional development.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Education:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Board of Papua New Guinea.
• Valid practicing licence.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–3 years' clinical dental experience is required.
• Experience working in a clinic or outpatient medical setting is preferred.
• Previous experience with electronic medical or dental records systems is desirable.
• Experience working in multicultural or community-based healthcare environments is an advantage.

Skills:

• Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills for treating oral health conditions.
• Strong technical proficiency in performing fillings, extractions, scaling, and root canal treatments.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards and clinical protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including a patient-focused and culturally sensitive approach.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team including nurses and administrative staff.
• Good time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient clinic operations.
