🔎 AVAILABLE POSITION - RETAIL PHARMACIST

The Retail Pharmacist is responsible for providing professional pharmacy services to customers in a retail setting. This role plays a crucial part in promoting health and wellness within the community by accurately dispensing prescription medications and advising customers on over-the-counter medications and health-related products. The Retail Pharmacist ensures full compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, maintains safe medication storage, and reviews patient profiles to identify potential drug interactions or allergies. In addition, the role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, managing pharmaceutical inventory, and delivering exceptional customer care with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid pharmacist license to practice in Papua New Guinea.
  • Additional certifications in immunization or medication therapy management are an advantage.

Experience:

  • Proven experience (3–5 years) working as a licensed pharmacist in a retail setting.
  • Experience in conducting health screenings and wellness programs.
  • Familiarity with health insurance processing and third-party billing.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and clinical practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medication interactions, contraindications, and potential side effects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and medical staff.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy-specific software and technology.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
