What You’ll Do:
- Handle payroll, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions with precision.
- Execute company financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Handle general and sub-ledgers, recording and analyzing financial data for accurate reporting.
- Prepare, review, and submit tax computations and statutory returns, including CIT, VAT, WHT, APIT.
- Produce comprehensive management reports, including financial analyses, forecasts, and risk evaluations.
- Develop and maintain competitive pricing and rate cards in compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Leverage automation to enhance the speed and reliability of financial processes.
- Understand and document our products and processes to optimize operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation of internal controls working alongside the Head of Finance to ensure adherence to best financial practices.
- Liaise with auditors, the company secretary, bankers, and relevant government authorities to be in line with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide hands-on financial operational support for projects, ensuring robust control structures are in place to facilitate success.
What You Bring:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CIMA/ACCA/CA is an advantage)
- Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, with a focus on reporting, control, and financial management. Prior experience in SaaS, manufacturing, or e-commerce is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting software (e.g. Xero, Quickbooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency in Tax Compliance: Knowledge of the Sri Lankan tax system.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP standards, financial reporting processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Fluency in English: Excellent command of English, enabling clear and precise communication across teams and stakeholders.
