Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy and revenue growth of a leading luxury hotel in Kandy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving occupancy, maximizing revenue, and building strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Lead and manage the sales team to drive performance and results
- Identify new business opportunities in local and international markets
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and tour operators
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to enhance brand positioning
- Oversee contracts, negotiations, and pricing strategies
- Represent the hotel at industry events, exhibitions, and networking functions
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong network within corporate and travel trade sectors
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of the Sri Lankan hospitality market
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
