Under the Island Life portfolio, a distinguished luxury boutique hotel in Hiriketiya, set to open in September 2026. Currently under development, this property is designed to redefine coastal luxury and personalized hospitality in Sri Lanka’s south.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Executive to independently manage all financial operations of our pre-opening luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Hiriketiya, Dikwella, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial control across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all finance-related operations of the boutique hotel independently
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and supplier payments
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and daily revenue reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and petty cash
- Oversee income audits, night audit reports, and revenue verification
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, taxes, and company policies
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal/external audits
- Work closely with operations (Front Office, F&B) to ensure financial accuracy
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Part qualification in CA / ACCA / CIMA is an added advantage
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry (mandatory)
- Pre-opening hotel experience is added advantage
- Strong knowledge of hotel finance operations (income audit, POS systems, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/hotel management systems
- Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end finance functions
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
