This role requires the candidate to work in Bali, Indonesia.
Client Overview:
The company is a fast-growing project developer and investment firm specializing in luxury real estate in prime locations. Founded by an international team with experience in construction and global markets, it focuses on a modern tropical aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with natural surroundings. Its vision is to elevate property standards by delivering innovative design and superior craftsmanship that exceed international benchmarks.
Operating as a full-service provider, the company manages the entire development lifecycle, from land acquisition and architectural design to construction and professional property management. It offers transparent investment opportunities with attractive returns, providing a fully passive experience for property owners while delivering high-value, reliable assets that reflect a sustainable and sophisticated lifestyle.
Job Role:
The Finance Manager is not a traditional "reporting" role. You will be the primary financial architect responsible for building and managing the financial operations in a dynamic, project-driven environment. You will bridge the gap between high-level investment strategy and the "hands-on" reality of construction cash flow, ensuring every project remains profitable and every expense is optimized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Flow Leadership: Manage and optimize complex cash flow cycles, providing weekly forecasting and proactive planning to support ongoing construction phases.
- Project P&L Management: Set up and manage dedicated P&Ls per project and per phase, ensuring granular visibility into the financial health of each development.
- Budgetary Oversight: Monitor budgets, perform rigorous cost analysis, and review/approve all payments and expenses to prevent leakage.
- Financial Architecture: Improve and structure financial processes and systems from the ground up to support a fast-growing international organization.
- Investor & Management Reporting: Develop sophisticated financial reports for management and international investors, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Administrative Governance: Oversee invoicing, bookkeeping, and payment cycles, while preparing financials for external tax advisors and accountants.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify financial risks early and proactively contribute to strategic solutions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 7–10 years of experience in finance, preferably in real estate, hospitality, or project-driven industries, with at least 5 years leading finance functions.
- Experience with international business structures.
- Strong expertise in cash flow management, P&L oversight, and financial forecasting.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and able to independently build financial systems and processes.
- Proactive business acumen, capable of steering operations rather than just reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex financial matters to non-finance stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.
