Job Role:

This senior leadership position oversees the Ocean Freight sales division in Surabaya. You are responsible for architecting the area’s growth strategy and identifying untapped business opportunities in the East Java market.

Products & Solutions: Air Freight Services, Sea Freight & Ocean Specializations, Digital Visibility & Tracking Tools, Certifications & Specialized Handling (for Healthcare and Pharmaceutical, and for Dangerous Goods), One-Stop Logistics and SC Consulting Services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Area Strategy Development: Design and implement a multi-year sales roadmap to increase market share in Surabaya and the surrounding East Java industrial zones.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive analysis into market and sales trends to identify emerging business opportunities before competitors.
  • Senior Negotiations: Lead high-level presentations and commercial negotiations for major corporate tenders and strategic partnerships.
  • Crisis & Complaint Management: Act as the final point of escalation for complex customer issues, ensuring swift resolution and retention of high-value accounts.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor the performance of the sales operations team, ensuring all KPIs are met and financial outcomes are optimized.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
  • Over 10 years of experience in professional sales or sales operations management in ocean freight, with at least 5 years in strategic and managerial roles.
  • Experience in logistics companies selling B2B products and solutions.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning, developing area-specific sales strategies, and designing complex ocean-based supply chain solutions.
  • Advanced skills in analyzing market trends and sales data to drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership in managing and developing sales teams to achieve area targets.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution, handling complex customer issues, and maintaining high-value client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of sea freight operations, warehousing, end-to-end supply chain solutions, and export/import compliance.
  • Fluent in English for business communication, including client meetings and negotiations.
  • Goal-oriented, persuasive, proactive, independent, with strong relationship management, presentation skills, and an innovative, motivational leadership style.
