Responsibilities

  • Own and drive end-to-end delivery across multiple Scrum teams and parallel workstreams, ensuring alignment with business priorities, engineering execution, and release milestones.
  • Establish and maintain effective delivery governance, reporting structures, and escalation mechanisms across scope, schedule, quality, risks, dependencies, and resources.
  • Act as the key stakeholder escalation point, providing clear delivery updates, executive reporting, and facilitating governance forums such as steering committees and delivery reviews.
  • Drive Agile maturity, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement across teams, ensuring adherence to DevOps practices, quality standards, and predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop delivery teams and Project Managers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a high-performance culture across engineering, QA, DevOps, and business functions.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation, mitigation planning, and resolution of delivery blockers.
  • Align and track delivery KPIs and Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, predictability, quality, and release health) to monitor performance and enable continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software delivery environments.
  • At least 4+ years in delivery/program/project management leadership roles.
  • Experience managing multiple Agile teams and large-scale digital delivery programs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and scaled Agile frameworks.
  • Experience working with complex stakeholder environments and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, release management, DevOps, and quality engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in delivery management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage delivery under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or PMI-ACP certification preferred.
  • Scrum certifications such as PSM or CSM preferred.
  • SAFe or Agile leadership certifications preferred.

Note: Employees will be transitioned to the client company upon completing three years at Surge
