The Job

  • Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions of the organization.
  • Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and comprehensive financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenditure to ensure strong financial stability.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, tax, and other legal requirements.
  • Oversee external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Supervise, guide, and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct advanced financial analysis using dashboards, integrating insights with risk assessment and forecasting models to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all taxation requirements and other statutory obligations of the organization.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, and negotiate favorable arrangements that support the organization's financial objectives and competitive advantage.
  • Drive financial planning initiatives that support the institution's growth, sustainability, and long-term success.

The Person

  • Fully or partly qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Has a minimum of 5–8 years of experience in finance and accounting, including leadership experience.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Is proficient in accounting and ERP systems.
  • Has expertise in financial analysis using dashboards, risk assessment, and forecasting models.
  • Has thorough knowledge of taxation and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Can effectively negotiate and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Is strategic, results-oriented, and capable of supporting organizational growth through sound financial management.
