Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee legal governance frameworks, compliance initiatives, and corporate legal advisory functions in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage legal documentation, contract review processes, corporate secretarial matters, and provide legal support to operational, commercial, and corporate business functions.
- Supervise corporate licensing, operational permits, expatriate documentation, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions to ensure business continuity and compliance.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government institutions, regulatory bodies, ministries, industry associations, labor unions, and external stakeholders.
- Lead litigation management, legal dispute resolution, crisis response, and coordination with external legal counsel for high-risk and strategic legal matters.
- Support business transformation and expansion initiatives through legal due diligence, governance alignment, regulatory review, and stakeholder coordination.
- Conduct legal risk assessments, compliance investigations, governance reviews, and risk mitigation initiatives across all operational activities.
- Coordinate public affairs activities, regulatory communication, government engagement strategies, and stakeholder management aligned with business objectives.
- Represent the organization in legal negotiations, regulatory inspections, government discussions, litigation matters, labor-related legal cases, and external legal engagements.
- Ensure implementation of strong corporate governance practices, ethical standards, and legal compliance across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law is required.
- Master’s Degree in Law or other relevant field is preferred.
- Licensed Advocate or equivalent legal certification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate legal, regulatory compliance, government affairs, or litigation management.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian corporate law, labor law, commercial law, regulatory compliance, and licensing procedures.
- Experience handling government relations, legal disputes, due diligence, and corporate transactions.
- Fluent in English
