One of our prestigious clients is looking for a Junior Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join their team immediately.

SALARY: Negotiable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review bank statements and transaction activities to identify unusual or suspicious transactions.
• Investigate alerts and analyze financial transactions for potential AML/CFT risks.
• Request additional information and supporting documentation from relevant parties when required.
• Review live payments before execution from an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) perspective.
• Conduct sanctions screening and watchlist checks using relevant compliance tools.
• Review, analyze, and discount adverse media and sanctions hits where appropriate.
• Escalate suspicious transactions, alerts, and compliance concerns to senior compliance staff.
• Maintain accurate records of investigations, findings, and compliance activities.
• Ensure all monitoring activities comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• Previous experience in transaction monitoring, AML, compliance, banking, or financial services will be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
