Role Description

The VFX Video Editor is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo, responsible for producing high-quality video content for CEM Studios. This role involves editing raw footage, applying visual effects, motion graphics, and color grading to create engaging content for digital medi, and marketing campaigns. The VFX Video Editor will collaborate closely with producers, content creators, designers, and marketing teams to translate concepts into polished video outputs aligned with brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include managing post-production workflows, organizing project files, ensuring timely delivery of edits, and optimizing videos for various platforms and formats.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for digital media, educational, and marketing content.
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading to maintain visual consistency and enhance storytelling.
• Experience in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create dynamic visual elements, titles, and overlays.
• Advanced knowledge of industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalents).
• Ability to work on-site in Colombo, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, visual creativity, and understanding of composition, pacing, and sound integration.
• Prior experience in digital media, marketing, or education-related video projects is advantageous.
• Relevant qualification in Film, Media, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and portfolio showcasing VFX and editing work.
