Primary Objective
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The successful candidate will lead and support warehouse staff, maintain accurate inventory records, uphold workplace health and safety standards, and drive continuous improvements to optimize operational efficiency, productivity, and service delivery. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure accurate inventory management through regular stock counts, reconciliations, and stock control processes.
- Monitor warehouse performance and implement measures to improve efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
- Lead, coach, and support warehouse team members to achieve operational objectives and maintain high performance standards.
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and security policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, operational issues, and customer service concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records, reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices to enhance warehouse performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in warehouse operations, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Forklift licence and relevant warehouse certifications are desirable.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
