Quality Engineer in Coming or in Process (Heavy Machinery)

Karawang, West Java, Indonesia- Develop and implement quality control plans for overseas projects, including establishing inspection criteria and ensuring that quality procedures are consistently followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct and oversee quality inspections before equipment shipment, as well as during installation and commissioning activities.
- Identify quality issues during project execution and ensure that corrective actions are properly implemented and followed through to closure.
- Work closely with both local and international engineering and technical teams to investigate and resolve significant quality issues encountered on-site.
- Prepare detailed quality analysis, inspection, and problem-resolution reports when required.
- Monitor and manage the quality management systems of overseas suppliers through regular assessments, audits, and technical guidance.
- Identify areas for supplier quality improvement and coordinate the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, third-party inspection agencies, and other external stakeholders to ensure that products and project deliverables comply with applicable international standards and contractual quality requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality control, reduce recurring defects, and improve overall project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with heavy industrial equipment, machinery structures, and manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management, preferably within the machinery or heavy equipment manufacturing industry.
- Previous overseas or international on-site project experience will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and IATF 16949 standards.
- Experienced in applying quality improvement and problem-solving methodologies, including the 7 QC Tools.
- Proficient in English across speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with the ability to use English for business communication and technical discussions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Willing to travel frequently for work and able to operate effectively in demanding or high-pressure environments.
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with Indonesian manufacturing regulations is an advantage.
- Willing to be based in Karawang, West Java.
