We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute the design, automation, performance, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure and deployment ecosystem. This role combines deep expertise in AWS container management (ECS/ECR), database management with an Oracle background, multi domain control, and hands on experience handling high volume XML API traffic and payment integrations within IATA/ARC-compliant travel environment limits.

You will play a role in driving decisions, elevating security standards, optimizing cloud costs, and implementing intelligent automation across our deployment pipelines and infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS utilizing ECS (Elastic Container Service), ECR, and RDS with a focus on high availability and fault tolerance.
• Administer, optimize, and maintain relational database environments with an emphasis on Oracle databases and AWS RDS instances, driving database backup automation, disaster recovery strategies, and query performance tuning.
• Write, maintain, and optimize robust deployment scripts (Bash, Python, Terraform) to streamline release cycles, database migrations, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Build and maintain infrastructure supporting complex XML API integrations, payload parsing workflows, and secure payment API processing gateways.
• Ensure infrastructure architecture adheres to travel industry standards, regulatory protocols, and compliance frameworks, specifically IATA and ARC requirements.
• Manage multi-domain and subdomain architectures, handling DNS routing, Godaddy/CDN integrations, wildcard SSL/TLS certificates, and origin request optimization across complex environments.
• Drive cloud cost management (FinOps), implementing autoscaling policies, rightsizing instances, managing reserved/spot capacity, and monitoring spending to continuously lower operational overhead.
• Optimize server performance and system response speeds, tuning web servers (Nginx, Caddy), caching layers (Redis, Varnish), and kernel parameters for low latency and high throughput.
• Conduct regular technical SEO and site speed checkups, collaborating with engineering to optimize Core Web Vitals, TTFB (Time to First Byte), edge caching, and asset delivery.
• Own site reliability, automated backup policies, incident response, and root-cause analysis (RCA) processes to maintain maximal uptime.

Requirements

• 2 years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience managing containerized applications using AWS ECS and ECR, alongside relational database management with AWS RDS.
• Background working with database management systems, specifically Oracle DB along with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Practical experience managing infrastructure and deployment flows for XML-based APIs, data transformation layers, and secure payment API gateways.
• Familiarity with travel industry standards and ticketing/data distribution ecosystems (IATA / ARC compliance and workflows).
• Proven track record in writing and maintaining custom automated deployment scripts, system backup routines, and rollback procedures.
• Proven experience managing complex multi-domain and subdomain architectures, including DNS management (Route 53, Cloudflare), CDN strategies, and SSL automation.
• Active experience executing cloud cost optimization strategies (FinOps, resource rightsizing, Spot instance automation, and cost anomaly detection).
• Strong background in Linux system administration, web server tuning (Nginx/Apache), web caching strategies, and server-side performance optimization.
• Practical understanding of technical SEO mechanics (Core Web Vitals, TTFB optimization, canonical routing, edge redirect handling, dynamic caching rules).
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

• Official AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or DevOps Engineer - Professional).
• Experience with GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport) systems and API infrastructures.
• Practical experience with FinOps platforms (e.g., Kubecost, Vantage, CloudHealth).
• Deep familiarity with edge computing and serverless edge functions (Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda ).
• Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or Flux).
