Primary Objective
To deliver an exceptional adidas brand experience by providing outstanding customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. The Customer Service Associate is responsible for building positive customer relationships, driving sales performance, maintaining high visual merchandising standards, and ensuring every customer leaves the store satisfied and inspired by the adidas brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Greet and engage customers promptly, identifying their needs and recommending suitable adidas products.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets through effective product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of adidas products, promotions, and brand initiatives.
- Assist customers with product selection, sizing, styling, and purchasing decisions.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently through the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, returns, and exchanges professionally and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and ensure products are displayed in line with adidas brand guidelines.
- Replenish stock, monitor inventory levels, and ensure the sales floor remains well-stocked and organized.
- Keep the store clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
- Support stocktakes, stock receiving, and inventory management activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store objectives and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Promote customer loyalty programs, special promotions, and new product launches.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and loss prevention practices.
- Act as a brand ambassador by representing adidas values and maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, sales, or a similar customer-facing role is desirable.
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment will be an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers.
- Basic numeracy and computer skills, including experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, are desirable.
- A genuine passion for sport, fitness, fashion, and the adidas brand.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and peak trading periods.
