Payable (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a System Engineerto join our Infrastructure & Systems team and help maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure supporting our fintech and payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Linux/RHEL servers across Production and Testing environments. Deploy and manage applications using Apache, Tomcat, Java, and related technologies. Monitor system performance, availability, and infrastructure health. Manage and support AWS and Google Cloud (GCP) infrastructure and services. Support server deployments, migrations, and infrastructure-related activities. Troubleshoot network, firewall, WAF, application, and server-related issues. Manage and maintain databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL. Perform database monitoring, backup, replication, performance, and connectivity troubleshooting. Perform OS patching, server hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security-related activities. Maintain infrastructure monitoring and documentation. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on infrastructure-related activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering. Strong knowledge of Linux/RHEL administration. Experience with Apache, Tomcat, and Java application hosting. Hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL. Good understanding of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and firewalls. Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP is preferred. Knowledge of VMware, Nagios/monitoring tools, Bash/Python scripting, WAF, or security technologies will be an added advantage. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
