About the role

Help customers understand their security challenges and turn technical requirements into practical solutions. As a Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer, you will partner with sales and technical teams to guide prospects from discovery through technical evaluation and a clear handover to delivery.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer environments, security priorities, risks, and buying requirements.

• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and presentations for technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Scope and coordinate proofs of concept, agree success criteria, and document results.

• Translate customer needs into solution designs, proposals, statements of work, and responses to RFPs and security questionnaires.

• Explain security capabilities, limitations, integration requirements, and business value clearly and accurately.

• Work with sales to qualify opportunities, address technical objections, and support the sales cycle.

• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to validate feasibility and ensure a smooth customer handover.

• Keep up with cybersecurity threats, technologies, and customer needs.

What you bring

• Practical knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, networking, cloud security, identity and access management, and vulnerability management.

• Experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, security consulting, or a related customer-facing technical role.

• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly, run engaging demos, and write concise proposals.

• Strong discovery, problem-solving, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• A collaborative approach and the ability to manage several opportunities at once.

Nice to have

• Experience with penetration testing, SIEM/SOC workflows, endpoint security, or application security.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.

• Relevant security, cloud, or vendor certifications.
