Position Overview:

We are seeking a curious and driven AI Engineer Intern (3D & Immersive Experiences) to join the team building Nova, a platform that turns traditional websites into intelligent, interactive 3D business environments. You will work where AI meets 3D: building AI agents that analyse businesses, organise their content and guide customers, and automating the pipeline that turns images and floor plans into immersive 3D spaces.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Python, a genuine interest in AI and 3D technology, and the eagerness to work on production-grade systems alongside senior engineers and our 3D team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and developing AI agents that analyse business websites and assets, plan digital experiences, and guide end users through personalised recommendations.
• Work with large language models (LLMs), vision models, prompt engineering, function calling and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Build AI workflows that automatically categorise and organise client assets such as images, floor plans and descriptions for use in 3D environments.
• Automate 3D production tasks using Python scripting in Blender, working closely with our 3D team to reduce processing time.
• Help develop a template-based system that customises reusable 3D environments for different business types, such as hotels and real estate.
• Monitor and optimise AI usage and token costs across the platform, testing lower-cost models, caching and batching strategies.
• Support integration of AI agents with external business systems such as booking platforms, CRMs and calendars, following secure API practices.
• Assist in building evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, reliability and cost per build.
• Take part in structured knowledge transfer with our 3D team to learn the 3D pipeline, file formats and web rendering workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions and sprint planning alongside the engineering team.
• Stay current with the latest developments in LLMs, vision AI, agentic AI and AI-driven 3D generation.

Educational Background:

Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Qualifications:

• Basic experience or academic exposure to Python, with familiarity in libraries such as NumPy and Pandas.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including computer vision and NLP basics.
• Exposure to or strong interest in large language models (OpenAI, Claude, open-source LLMs), prompt engineering and agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar).
• Familiarity with REST APIs and async Python (FastAPI or Flask) is a plus.
• Interest in 3D technology and willingness to learn tools such as Blender and Three.js.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and collaborative platforms like GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Passion for AI and a drive to continuously learn and experiment with emerging technologies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Blender, Blender Python scripting or any 3D software.
• Exposure to Three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js or WebGL.
• Familiarity with photogrammetry, Gaussian splatting, NeRFs or image-to-3D models.
• Experience with vision models for image classification, captioning or scene understanding.
• Exposure to vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector) or embedding-based search.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, S3, Lambda) or containerization (Docker).
• Hands-on experience building AI agents or multi-agent systems (personal projects, hackathons or coursework).
