# We're Hiring: Senior Accountant – Australia

Salary: LKR 150,000 – 200,000 per month

Location: Colombo 01

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Office Requirement: 3–4 days per week at the office

## About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Senior Accountant** to support an Australian client. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Australian regulations.

## Key Responsibilities

• • Manage monthly and year-end bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• • Process supplier invoices, payments, rebates, and customer billing accurately and on time.
• • Handle supplier queries and maintain accurate financial records.
• • Process payroll, superannuation, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting in compliance with Australian regulations.
• • Maintain general ledgers, prepare journal entries, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and support year-end audits.
• • Prepare and lodge BAS/GST returns, ensuring compliance with ATO, FBT, and payroll tax requirements.
• • Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to support management decisions.

## Requirements

• • Part-qualified or fully qualified in CA, CPA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification, or a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• • Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience within an Australian business.
• • Sound knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, STP, BAS, GST, FBT, and payroll tax.
• • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Excel.
• • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• • Excellent organisational skills, integrity, confidentiality, and a willingness to learn.
