The Role

We are seeking an experienced IFS Finance Consultant to lead finance work across implementation, upgrade and support projects. You will engage finance stakeholders, understand business and control requirements, and shape a solution that supports accurate, efficient financial operations across customer environments.

This is a senior or lead-level consulting role requiring deep IFS Finance expertise, strong customer communication and the ability to deliver independently while coordinating with project and technical teams. Work may span IFS Applications and IFS Cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance workstreams across end-to-end IFS implementations, upgrades and support engagements.
• Run requirements and process workshops with finance stakeholders; document business needs, controls, gaps and solution decisions.
• Design and configure IFS Finance processes and ensure the solution follows customer requirements and IFS standards.
• Advise on finance integration points with Projects, Maintenance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes.
• Coordinate with technical teams on reports, integrations, data migration and other technical activities affecting finance.
• Plan and oversee finance testing, including scenarios, reconciliations, defect management, UAT and readiness for go-live.
• Support customer teams through cutover, go-live, hypercare and post-implementation issue resolution.
• Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, manage expectations and raise delivery risks early.
• Provide guidance to colleagues and contribute to internal knowledge development and customer or team training.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on IFS Finance experience, with typically 8+ years of overall ERP or finance systems experience.
• Experience delivering 2–3 end-to-end IFS Finance implementations, in addition to upgrade or support project experience.
• Strong functional expertise in IFS Finance and its integration with Projects, Maintenance, Manufacturing or Supply Chain.
• Ability to lead requirements gathering, solution design, configuration decisions and customer discussions with limited supervision.
• Experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud; familiarity with Aurena is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of finance operations, controls, reconciliations and the implications of system changes on financial reporting.
• Excellent client communication, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• A degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline; Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant qualification is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for customer engagements and to work effectively with distributed project teams.
• Experience supporting multi-company or multi-currency finance environments.
• Experience with finance data migration, reporting, integrations or IFS Cloud transformation programmes.
