The Role

We are seeking an experienced IFS Projects Consultant to support and lead customer delivery across implementation and ongoing support. You will work with project-based businesses to understand how they plan, execute and control work, and translate those requirements into a clear IFS solution.

This is a senior-level consulting role for someone with hands-on IFS Projects experience and at least one end-to-end implementation. You will contribute across the project lifecycle and work closely with customer stakeholders, project managers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead or own functional activities for IFS Projects implementations, upgrades and support engagements.
• Facilitate requirements and solution design workshops, perform gap analysis and document agreed project processes.
• Configure and validate IFS Projects functionality to support customer planning, execution, monitoring and control needs.
• Prepare process documentation, user manuals, configuration records, test scenarios and customer deliverables.
• Coordinate with technical teams on reporting, integrations, data migration and related dependencies.
• Participate across project phases from initiation and design through testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare.
• Support customer testing and training, track issues to resolution and provide practical guidance to project users.
• Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and maintain alignment on scope, decisions, risks and next steps.
• Collaborate with other functional consultants and project managers to deliver a joined-up solution.

Requirements

• Typically 4–8 years of overall experience, including 4–6 years of hands-on IFS Projects module experience.
• At least one end-to-end IFS Projects implementation delivered; experience with further implementations is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of project-based business processes and the ability to translate requirements into an IFS solution.
• Experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud implementation, upgrade or support work.
• Ability to lead workshops, document requirements, perform gap analysis and communicate solution choices clearly.
• Experience supporting reporting, integrations, data migration, testing and go-live activities in coordination with technical teams.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to work independently on assigned workstreams and willingness to travel for customer engagements when required.
• Experience working on projects that integrate with IFS Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Maintenance.
• Experience with IFS Cloud, project data migration, reporting or customer training.
