The Role

We are seeking an experienced IFS Manufacturing Consultant to deliver implementation and support work for customers with complex manufacturing operations. You will work with business stakeholders to understand production requirements and translate them into practical IFS solutions, partnering with technical teams and other functional consultants throughout delivery.

This is a senior-level role for a consultant with strong IFS Manufacturing experience and a record of delivering end-to end implementations. You will contribute to solution quality, customer relationships and knowledge sharing within our IFS practice.

Responsiblities

• Lead or own functional workstreams in end-to-end IFS Manufacturing implementations, upgrades and support engagements.
• Facilitate discovery and requirements workshops, document manufacturing processes, identify gaps and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Design and configure IFS processes for relevant manufacturing models, including Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Configure-to-Order (CTO), batch and repetitive manufacturing, and component MRO.
• Apply functional expertise across shop orders, material planning and MRP, cost breakdown structures (CBS), manufacturing costing and related production flows.
• Translate approved designs into configuration, test scenarios, user documentation and training materials; support users through adoption.
• Plan and support functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, cutover, go-live and hypercare.
• Work with technical colleagues on integrations, reports, data migration and extensions, ensuring requirements and dependencies are clear.
• Manage customer expectations, communicate risks and progress, and coordinate effectively with project managers and other workstreams.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, mentoring and continuous improvement of our IFS delivery approach.

Requirements

• Typically 4–8 years of experience working with the IFS Manufacturing module and 2–4 completed end-to-end IFS Manufacturing implementations.
• Strong functional knowledge across ETO, CTO, batch manufacturing, component MRO and repetitive manufacturing scenarios.
• Practical experience with shop orders, MRP, CBS, manufacturing costing and connected production processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead requirements discussions, design solutions, configure IFS and guide customers through implementation decisions.
• Experience delivering implementation, upgrade or support projects on IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills, with care for scope, quality and documentation.
• Clear written, verbal and presentation skills, including confidence working with customer stakeholders and technical teams.
• Ability to manage assigned work independently while collaborating across a multi-disciplinary project team.
• Willingness to travel for short-term or longer customer assignments as project needs require.
• Experience in manufacturing industries using ETO, CTO, batch, repetitive or MRO operating models.
• Experience with IFS Cloud, Aurena, manufacturing integrations, reporting or data migration.
