About us

We are building an agentic AI platform that executes workflows across the business systems organisations rely on, such as ERPs, CRMs & HRIS with a focus on multiple business domains.

The role

You will design and develop core backend services for the platform. You will own assigned components from technical design through deployment and operation, contribute to platform architecture, and help maintain engineering standards as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of assigned core backend services and APIs
• Design and build AI agents and agentic workflows that work across business systems
• Build secure, multi-tenant services with strong access control and audit logging
• Develop LLM-powered features, including conversation, data extraction and tool selection
• Uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, security and monitoring; conduct code reviews and mentor engineers
• Own the operational health of assigned services, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and incident resolution
• Work with product and technical leadership to scope features, estimate effort and identify risks early
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively, while reviewing generated code and validating its correctness and security through tests

Technical requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering, mostly backend, including 2+ years owning the design of a production system
• Strong Python, including asynchronous programming, and experience building REST APIs; FastAPI experience preferred
• Data validation using Pydantic and JSON Schema
• Azure Functions and Azure identity and security, including Entra ID, managed identities and Key Vault
• Azure SQL or SQL Server, with strong relational data modelling
• Distributed systems experience, including concurrency, idempotency, safe retries and partial-failure recovery
• Production experience with LLM APIs such as Azure OpenAI, including tool calling, structured outputs and evaluation of model behaviour
• Automated testing with pytest, Git and CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent
• Production logging and monitoring using Application Insights or equivalent

Nice to have

• Azure Durable Functions or another workflow or orchestration engine
• Microsoft Bot Framework, Microsoft Graph and Teams integrations
• Azure Document Intelligence and Azure Storage
• Experience connecting AI agents to systems through MCP servers
• ERP experience, such as Business Central, SAP or NetSuite
• React and TypeScript
