Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports for clients.
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types.
- Preparation of BAS and IAS for different entity types.
- Bookkeeping for small business entities.
- Process weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annual payroll.
- Preparation of educational content and article writing.
- Practice administration tasks when required.
- Ad-hoc tasks, including data analysis, report preparation, tax updates etc.
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2-4 years of work experience in Australian accounting/bookkeeping/taxation in a reputed BPO organisation.
- Possess graduate-level qualification in accounting.
- Fully or part qualified in CPA (Australia)/ACCA/ CIMA /or CA Sri Lanka is an advantage but not essential.
- Thorough working experience in bookkeeping and financials on Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks platforms and tax return preparation using Xero Tax.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivots etc
- Willingness to learn, ability to quickly acquire knowledge on various Australian tax matters and apply that knowledge in practice-wide communication.
- Proficiency in English language communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to work autonomously, managing time productively.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage work around the Australian standard work hours.
