Title: Restaurant Server
Reports To: Assistant Restaurant/Restaurant Manager Department: Food And Beverage
Summary Of The Position:
Provide professional, courteous and efforts to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests. The server’s primary objective is to ensure all guests are provided with the utmost dining experience where extensive hospitality experience can be used to develop guest relations and loyalty.
Duties And Responsibilities:
● Welcome and greet guests. Ensure all guests are given the necessary attention and a sense of urgency to create an exceptional, lasting impression.
● Prepares room for dining with tables set up according to “Smokey Blues” Standards
● Protects establishments and guests following sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
● Assist the guest’s selection of food and beverages by presenting a menu, offering cocktails and aperitifs, suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialities, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation and dietary restriction questions.
● Transmits orders to the bar and kitchen by recording guests’ choices with POS, identifying guests' special needs and other special requests.
● Keep the kitchen informed by noting the timing of meal progression.
● Serves orders by picking up and delivering to guests from the bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from the kitchen.
● Responds to additional guest requirements by inquiring about needs and observing the dining process.
● Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling beverages, and being alert to guests' special needs.
● Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting guests to return.
● Obtains revenues by totalling charges, issuing bills, accepting payment, and using terminal machines through credit or room charges.
● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and or any other assigned duties by the F&B Management
Skills And Qualification:
● Excellent Customer Service and selling to the needs of our guests; previous server position in a high-end setting is an asset.
● Basic Knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling
● Posses general math skills and knowledge in operating POS system
● Excellent Verbal or Written Communication
● Enthusiasm for Hospitality and commitment to exceptional service.
● Positive Attitude, Teamwork, Persistence, Energy Level and Professionalism
● Be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
● Be able to lift safely and easily manoeuvre food trays, frequently weighing 20 to 25 pounds.
● Punctuality and reliable attendance
● Must be detail-oriented.
● Smart Serve Certified and Food Handler Certified are required.
Salary per Month: OMR 130 to 150 + tips, annual bonus, incentives
Terms :
Contract period: 2 years (Renewable)
Food allowance: Yes
Accommodation: Shared accommodation, Medical, life insurance, local transportation, and worker compensation: Will be provided by the client
Overtime - No overtime provision
Working hours: 54 hours weekly and a day off
Joining Air ticket: This will be provided by the client.
Return Ticket: Provided by client after the completion of every two years
