Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    1. Supervise and guide restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and cashier, to ensure smooth and efficient operations during all shifts.
    2. Provide training to new and existing staff on restaurant standards, quality control measures, and customer service protocols.
    3. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and high levels of morale among staff members.
  2. Customer Service
    1. Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that guest needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
    2. Monitor customer feedback and take necessary actions to improve overall dining experiences
  3. Operational Oversight
    1. Monitor daily operations, including food preparation, service, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation, to guarantee high-quality and consistent service delivery.
    2. Identify operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies and work with the management team to implement solutions that improve productivity
    3. Assist line staff in preparation and distribution of food items and beverages to the same standards when required
  4. Quality Control
    1. Implement and maintain a system for quality control checks to ensure all aspects of the restaurant's operations are maintained.
    2. Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure that food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards are met consistently.
  5. Documentation and Reporting
    1. Maintain accurate records of daily operations, incidents, and customer interactions
    2. Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting areas of improvement, successful initiatives, and compliance status.
  6. Payment Processing
    1. Calculate the total bill accurately, including taxes and any additional charges.
    2. Accept payments in the form of cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and gift cards.
    3. Process transactions quickly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy in giving change and providing receipts.
    4. POS System Operation:
    5. Familiarity with the restaurant's POS system for order entry and payment processing.
    6. Accurately enter orders and ensure modifications are reflected correctly.
    7. Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
    8. Prepare a daily reconciliation report of transactions, including sales and tips.
    9. Promote special items, combos, or promotions to increase sales and suggest additional items that complement the customer's order.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-3 years restaurant industry experience
  • MUST have a VALID Food Handlers Permit, valid government issued ID, TRN and NIS
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in training staff and implementing processes
  • Customer-focused attitude with a track record of delivering exceptional service experiences.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role is beneficial.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Proficiency in using electronic cash registers and POS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order entry and payment processing.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant menu items and ingredients.
  • Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • References are mandatory. Two (2) Character references and two (2) professional references

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights (e.g., trays of dishes, supplies).
  • Manual dexterity for handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
  • Work in a hot and humid environment
