Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and guide restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and cashier, to ensure smooth and efficient operations during all shifts.
- Provide training to new and existing staff on restaurant standards, quality control measures, and customer service protocols.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and high levels of morale among staff members.
- Customer Service
- Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that guest needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Monitor customer feedback and take necessary actions to improve overall dining experiences
- Operational Oversight
- Monitor daily operations, including food preparation, service, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation, to guarantee high-quality and consistent service delivery.
- Identify operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies and work with the management team to implement solutions that improve productivity
- Assist line staff in preparation and distribution of food items and beverages to the same standards when required
- Quality Control
- Implement and maintain a system for quality control checks to ensure all aspects of the restaurant's operations are maintained.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure that food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards are met consistently.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, incidents, and customer interactions
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management, highlighting areas of improvement, successful initiatives, and compliance status.
- Payment Processing
- Calculate the total bill accurately, including taxes and any additional charges.
- Accept payments in the form of cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and gift cards.
- Process transactions quickly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy in giving change and providing receipts.
- POS System Operation:
- Familiarity with the restaurant's POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Accurately enter orders and ensure modifications are reflected correctly.
- Count the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare a daily reconciliation report of transactions, including sales and tips.
- Promote special items, combos, or promotions to increase sales and suggest additional items that complement the customer's order.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2-3 years restaurant industry experience
- MUST have a VALID Food Handlers Permit, valid government issued ID, TRN and NIS
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in training staff and implementing processes
