Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly and efficient service experience.
- Assist customers with menu inquiries, special offers, and promotions.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
- Order Processing:
- Accurately input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ensure order accuracy, including special requests and modifications.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate customer preferences and changes to orders.
- Cash Handling:
- Process cash and electronic transactions accurately.
- Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Issue receipts and ensure proper change is given.
- Upselling:
- Promote upselling by suggesting additional items or upgrades to enhance the customer's experience.
- Familiarize yourself with menu items and promotions to make relevant recommendations.
- Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Assist with maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness as needed.
- Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and other staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
- Compliance and Security:
- Adhere to all cash handling and payment processing policies.
- Monitor and report any suspicious activities related to transactions.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Shift Management:
- Manage customer flow during peak hours to ensure efficient service.
- Coordinate with other staff to address customer needs promptly.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
- Stay informed about new menu items and promotions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a cashier in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
