Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:
    1. Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly and efficient service experience.
    2. Assist customers with menu inquiries, special offers, and promotions.
    3. Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  2. Order Processing:
    1. Accurately input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
    2. Ensure order accuracy, including special requests and modifications.
    3. Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate customer preferences and changes to orders.
  3. Cash Handling:
    1. Process cash and electronic transactions accurately.
    2. Count and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
    3. Issue receipts and ensure proper change is given.
  4. Upselling:
    1. Promote upselling by suggesting additional items or upgrades to enhance the customer's experience.
    2. Familiarize yourself with menu items and promotions to make relevant recommendations.
  5. Maintaining Cleanliness:
    1. Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean and organized.
    2. Assist with maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness as needed.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    1. Communicate effectively with kitchen and other staff to ensure seamless operations.
    2. Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  7. Compliance and Security:
    1. Adhere to all cash handling and payment processing policies.
    2. Monitor and report any suspicious activities related to transactions.
    3. Comply with health and safety regulations.
  8. Shift Management:
    1. Manage customer flow during peak hours to ensure efficient service.
    2. Coordinate with other staff to address customer needs promptly.
  9. Training and Development:
    1. Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
    2. Stay informed about new menu items and promotions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a cashier in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • MUST have a VALID Food Handlers Permit, valid government issued ID, TRN, NIS
