ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (AD)

1. Pre-Production Planning: • Collaborate with the Director and Producers to create the production schedule, shooting script breakdown, and daily call sheets. • Coordinate casting sessions, rehearsals, location scouting, and equipment rentals. • Conduct production meetings, briefings, and walkthroughs to ensure all departments are aligned with the director's vision and objectives. • Pre-production planning deck to be prepared on google slides with template to be updated with improvements with every single deck. PPM deck to include every detail about the shoot. • Pre-production recce to be attended physically with director or without depending on the scale of the project. • Pre-production assistance to be provided for retainer clients

2. On-Set Management: • Oversee the set operations, ensuring adherence to the schedule, script, and production timeline. • Coordinate with department heads (e.g., camera, lighting, sound, wardrobe) to facilitate smooth transitions between scenes, setups, and locations. • Manage background actors, extras, and crowd control during filming, ensuring safety, organization, and compliance with regulations. 3. Talent Coordination: • Coordinate with casting directors, agents, and talent representatives to schedule auditions, fittings, and contractual obligations. • Communicate with actors, providing instructions, feedback, and support to facilitate authentic performances. • Manage talent logistics, including transportation, accommodations, meals, and other arrangements as needed.

4. Logistics and Operations: • Coordinate with location managers, permit offices, and local authorities to secure filming permits, licenses, and permissions. • Manage production logistics, including transportation, catering, set construction, props, costumes, and other resources. • Ensure compliance with union regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards throughout the production process.

5. Budget and Financial Management: • Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing the production budget, expenses, and financial resources. • Coordinate with producers, accountants, and finance teams to track expenditures, reconcile invoices, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications: • Proven experience as an Assistant Director or similar role in the film industry with a comprehensive understanding of production processes, techniques, and best practices. • Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities.
