We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer (Specialized in Backend Development) to join the team. You will own and drive high-level features from planning through implementation and be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in building and shaping key features.

Problem-solving and reliability are two primary characteristics we value for this role. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with building robust, lasting, and scalable products that are extensible, reusable, and meet desired architectural objectives.

Responsibilities:

● Design, build and improve APIs, services, and systems across engineering teams.

● Understand product objectives, help to develop a user-friendly platform to fully meet customer needs.

● Help scale our backend architecture and migrate to a service-oriented future.

● Ensure standards for engineering excellence, scalability, reliability, and reusability.

● Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.

● Perform reviews and ensure exceptional cloud platform quality.

● Iterate quickly without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science or related fields.

● 3+ years of experience building scalable, resilient backend systems.

● Experience working on, and deploying systems in JavaScript, Typescript, Go, Python, or other similar languages.

● Proficiency in concepts related to data modeling, data storage (SQL, NoSQL), and caching (Redis)

● Experience with all phases of the software development life cycle, best practices, and Agile Software Development.

● Experience with cloud services such as Google Cloud or AWS.

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

● Experience with NoSQL solutions, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services.

● Test- or Behavior-Driven Development practices.

● Event-driven architecture.

● Building scalable, robust microservices.

● Information security standards & methodologies.

● Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications.

● Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.

● Enjoy, and have experience building, efficient, type-safe, and documented APIs (gRPC, Swagger)
