Position Summary

As part of implementing its strategic linkages and partnerships programme, The BETA Park is activating the BETA-LIBT Industry Linkage Programme (BLIP) under its techpark services vertical, opening up engagement opportunities with the industry including internships. This internship position is created to help facilitate the implementation of the BLIP.

Scope of Work

The main purpose of the role, therefore, is to assist the Business Development team of The BETA Park reach out to and develop linkages and partnerships with industry, government and public agencies, academia and the civil society within Bhutan and outside, so as to achieve its experiential learning outcomes, among others.

General Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Support in establishing relationships with industry and representing BETA for matters related to innovation and industrial linkages;
  2. Explore opportunities for learner engagement with industry, government/public, civil society and international organizations;
  3. Coordinate representation of the company in important meetings, conferences and seminars outside;
  4. Assist the BD team in liaising with outside organizations/donors, partners and stakeholders through proper channels;
  5. Undertake other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the BD Manager or any Senior Management Team (SMT) member.

  • Excellent organisational skills and time management.
  • Proactive and positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Flexible and willing to take on different/multiple tasks, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in Web-design/ E-commerce
  • Industry relationship experience will be an advantage

Work Conditions

Work is generally performed in an office environment. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily. Frequent walking, standing, lifting, guiding, or carrying of equipment and materials may be required. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required.

What is after the Internship?

An allowance will be paid to the intern during the internship period. Successful completion of the internship may lead to a full time employment with the company.
