Position Summary

The opportunity has arisen for a full time member of staff to join our team, with the responsibility for managing the social media presence of BETA Mart and further developing this growing area of the business. The role will involve both the routine daily packing and dispatch of orders received, together with associated customer service, and the longer-term development of the online retail business, including sourcing of new products and development of new sales channels.

General Roles & Responsibilities

  • Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
  • Working with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns
  • Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
  • Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs

Key Skills and Knowledge

  • Good eye for detail and accuracy;
  • Possesses excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Hardworking and excellent customer service attitude;
  • Has drive, enthusiasm and a "can do attitude’’
  • Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and independent worker;
  • Hardworking and meticulous with a positive attitude;
  • Proficient in use of Google applications and basic knowledge on e-marketing and SEO;
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work well under stress in a fast paced environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in E-commerce.
  • Must be able to multitask and keep calm under the pressure of a continual stream of tasks and events.
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Evidence of interest in, and commitment to, the success of the company.
  • Light vehicle driving licence will be an advantage

Work Conditions

Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent need for travel for the delivery of goods. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required.

What is after the Internship?

An allowance will be paid to the intern during the internship period. Successful completion of the internship may lead to a full time employment with the company.
